The countdown is on.....

The weekend is fast approaching and I am greeting it with open arms. Hello weekend! I have missed you so and look forward to taking you in slowly.

We have not experienced a weekend at home in awhile so this weekend will be very free flowing but I do have some things I want to accomplish.

Weekend Highlights to be:

We will be doing a bit of spring cleaning and I would love to buy some plants from a local nursery to adorn the front and backyard.

I plan on making a huge jar of fresh squeezed lemonade so please feel free to come on over and have a glass or two. We can enjoy it with some mozzarella and tomato- which lately has become a staple in my diet.

Speaking of food, I have been not eating anything with HFCS in it for a little over two weeks now...It sure has been frustrating though. It is very hard to find foods that don't contain this. But a friend recently told me to check out Earth Fare . I love their Food Philosophy and am looking to going there this weekend. It will be so nice to not have to look at food labels. Ahhhh...so much freedom in knowing what you are getting is not processed food. I am hoping the prices of the food are not too expensive though. If you are looking for healthy recipes, Earth Fare online has some good ones....so check them out.

We are also going to see the Watoto Children's Choir at a local church on Saturday evening. The choir is from Uganda so we are very, very excited for this event. We have some friends who are going that have adopted from Ethiopia and we look forward to hopefully seeing them before our show since the group is going to an earlier show.

Also, this Sunday is our Youth Service at our home church. I love to see our youth in action and it is neat to see how they grow each year in their faith.

Making time for some devotion and prayer on Sunday as well....it is a must! And it is a great way for me to start the work week.

Ok...enough about what we are doing. What are you doing this weekend? Regardless of what you are doing, I hope you have a great, relaxing weekend and are able to take in the little moments in life that we are only able to capture in that moment. I plan on doing exactly that.

And in a future weekend - (posted this on FB earlier in the week and I think we are going to do it) Loved the first date with my hubby. I think we are going to need to do a repeat of it again and again: Every detail of it was perfect. Maybe we shall have "50 First Dates" and we can document it with a picture of each date and one day pass it on to our children...... So for now I leave you with a picture of us from our very first date!
