sunflower fields forever.....

e and i have been learning about sunflowers from our library books.  we planted sunflower seeds earlier this year but none have bloomed. yesterday i decided to search for a sunflower field and even emailed a photographer about them. but it seemed like there was not a field to be found.

so last night, we went for a nice family, windows down, country drive.  we had a destination in mind.  but out of nowhere came this burst of golden color.  the sun was shining down so splendidly and was calling for us to stop and take a look.  so we did. we soaked up the sunflower beauty.  each one so different but also so similar to its friends (a lot like you and me).

we all smiled big.  ok, i am still smiling.  just another constant reminder for me that God's beauty surrounds us everywhere.  we don't have to use "google" to help us find it...if we keep our eyes open it will be right in front of us.
