these are a few of e's favorite things.....

randomly, loves to say "frog in the car?!" (this is from one of elizabeth mitchell's songs that we listen to in the car) he will say it on the potty, when he wakes up in the morning, while eating, coming down the stairs....whenever. he knows we think it is funny.....so we do join him in saying it! got to get it on video!

the boy has got manners.....after flushing the toilet, he not only waves goodbye and says "bye pee-pee" but also blows a kiss.

he enjoys straightening up the rugs after babes or lucy messes them up and when we go to leave the house he checks with me the stovetop and the outlets...by mimicking me saying "off, off, off...." think we might be creating a bit of momma's ocd. oh my.

last week, he learned to spell his name.....i started singing it in song and after two times...he knew how to do it. i know this is just memorization but i am impressed:)

he has really taken an interest in the pets.....waving and saying bye when we leave the room they are in as well as when we leave the house, ordering babes to go potty when we are outside, petting them and kissing them on his own accord.

likes to jump and flop on the dog bed....favorite time to do this is usually right after he is clean from a bath....so of course all day he has babes and lucy hair all over him including in his own hair.

he likes to play pretend with us that he is leaving and going somewhere by saying hello and goodbye over and over....will give hugs and kisses too. (over and over and over again)

he is not a huge toy fan right now, don't get me wrong he does play with toys...but much rather be out and about exploring the grocery store or strolling in his stroller.

he also likes to sleep...just like his daddy. naptimes are usually at least 2 hrs.....wowzers!

he loved, loved shoes at first but his favorite accessories now are his sunglasses and bball cap.

he has started to gain interest in playing with friends...even if it is just when LJ is chasing him around a room.

favorite foods_ everything....no joke. haven't met a food he hasn't liked (yet) ok, i think he thinks jello has a weird texture and chicken can be hard to chew. and we know he is especially delighted when we have pizza, ice cream, and banana pudding. (yum that sounds good right now;-) )

as of now...we have been home for 5 months .....he has become curious and has started to have more patience with trying new things. the little boy that didn't make any noise has started to find his voice. He still loves interactions with others and strangers but has now started to "check-in" with us!

we are so proud to call him our son:)

So proud indeed! Thanks for capturing all of these memories so eloquently - this blog is a digital treasure. And your notes and captions will be a beautiful reminder to us down the road of how much we have all grown as a family...by God's grace. olive juice!
