Catching up.....

Our trip to Nashville this weekend was one of those times where we felt like we were exactly where we were called to be in that very moment. We enjoyed spending Orphan Sunday in the heart of Franklin, TN amongst some amazing God driven and devoted people. We had the joy of listening to Steven Curtis Chapman sing and share his thoughts...what a wonderful opportunity this was for us individually and together.

We should be beginning our home study soon since the paperwork is being mailed off this week. My heart and mind are at peace. I am content in this moment and in waiting. I rest assured with knowing that God is with us. He shows us this in ways I never could have imagined and dreamed of.

I am starting to yearn to be a mother. The nesting has begun- toys, books, clothes, safety measures, finding an international pediatrician, etc have preoccupied my mind. I hold books close to me like Carried Safely Home because they are so informative and relatable. I just want to reread them over and over again. I am using this time to prepare myself in all ways physically, mentally, and spiritually to be the best mother that I can.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner and a huge part of the holiday season is spending time with family. Although, I long for our child to be with us now, I rejoice knowing that God is with him in every moment of his life.
