Greece Riots: Not so fresh feeling

For our honeymoon (which was almost three months ago), Rob and I went to Greece . We had a memorable time and were reminded of God's beauty throughout the trip. It was simply amazing. I am sure I will go into more details about our adventures at another time, but I just wanted to focus on what was going on now in Greece.

The pictures I saw this morning are not how I remember seeing Greece and that is why I will not post them. One in particular stood out though, it was a picture of the same place where Rob and I watched the changing of the guards-Syntagma Square in central Athens. The Square was now filled with hundreds of protestors rallying against the government's policies as well as the death of a 15-year-old who was shot by a police officer on Saturday night.
So sad. So scary.

I am thankful that we are not over there now admist all of this.

But I am so glad we had the opportunity to go.

I want to lift up prayers to God for all the people of Greece. Instead of using violence, may the government and rioters be able to talk out disagreements and come to some sort of compromise and peace.

I hear you. We were in Greece not too long ago too and every time they show a picture of Thessaloniki I think about how different it looked when we were there during Carnivale.
